Following the departure of original drummer and founding member Josh Morgan, the band recently announced that new drummer Camille Phillips (The Ramonas) will become a permanent addition to the band’s line up.
Commenting on the inspiration behind the new video, director Blake Claridge said “So this is the first time I think this has been done in this way. Yes you could do it with big bucks; a studio build and a motion control rig, but that would have been a totally different shoot. Firstly you wouldn’t get that rig up 3 flights of stairs in a house. To do this on a budget you have to think outside the box, no off the shelf product does this type of shot, so inspired by the rigs of the legend that is Tony Hill, I knew something was possible but just had to figure it out what. I’d always wanted to do something with a perpetual motion and in the end it was a butchered slider, many clamps, sand bags, a piece of rope, a lot of heavy lifting, a crash mat and throwing in a Roll Rig and I like to call it the “Drop-Cam” but for insurance purposes I don’t think it would catch on.”
