The Subways have that something extra needed to stand out from the bands gigging around underground music venues. What gave them the edge on this particular night was that for the full duration of their set they played as if their lives depended on it.

All three members have an understanding about what it is they are trying to create and they firmly believe in their music. The set consisted of short, sharp energetic sound-bites. A number of their songs stand out as potential hits including 1am, the track that XFM's Claire Sturgess was so enthused over.
