Kent’s Alternative Music Festival 6th - 8th Aug 2010
For summer 2010 we are delighted to announce....
Gallows, The Subways, Sepultura, Rolo Tomassi, Napalm Death, Polar Bear Club, Dead Swans, Lower Than Atlantis and Feed The Rhino announced for a new camping festival in Kent.
The team behind last year’s one-day music event on Folkestone Seafront return this summer with their first full weekend festival. The Hevy Music Festival 2010 will feature 4 stages of great bands, live extreme sports displays and the UK’s most exhilarating thrill-rides.
“With a brand new venue and some awesome plans, this year’s festival is what we’ve always wanted to bring to Kent - it’s going to be huge!”
“There’s some fantastic little festivals down here that offer a great family-friendly product. But we’ve always felt there’s a need in this corner of the UK for something a little heavier, and that’s what we hope to be - Kent’s alternative music festival. We’re really going for it too - with huge bands from all corners of rock, punk, hardcore and metal, insane extreme sports displays and some hand-picked, state-of-the-art thrill rides - everything on site is totally focused at the alternative market. And at just £69 for a weekend camping ticket, it’s seriously good value too!”
“Headlining the Main Stage on Saturday will be hardcore giants ‘Gallows’, supported by a meaty line-up including ‘Rolo Tomassi’, ‘Dead Swans’ and ‘Feed The Rhino’. Brit-rock heroes ‘The Subways’ will be second on the bill for Sunday, with the headline act still to be announced!”
“Legendary Brazilian metallers ‘Sepultura’ will be headlining the Second Stage on Sunday, supported by grindcore pioneers ‘Napalm Death’. We’re also teaming up with Red Bull to bring you 2010’s greatest upcoming bands for the Bedroom Jam Stage, with ‘Polar Bear Club’ and ‘Lower than Atlantis’ already added to their Sunday line-up. Finally, the Local Heroes stage will showcase Kent’s finest homegrown talent between the main stage sets. If your band wants to join the line-up you can apply online at hevy.co.uk”
“Loads more bands will be announced over the next few weeks. Take a look at the website for more info (www.hevy.co.uk) and join us on Facebook to be the first to hear the latest news and announcements. Brace yourselves people, this is going to be epic!” - James & Claire, Hevy co-founders.
Weekend camping tickets cost just £69 and are on sale now at www.hevy.co.uk
